Jesus Meets You In The Hard Places

September 26, 20252 min read

I know how heavy the journey can feel when you’ve already walked through so much pain.

As sensitive women and survivors of trauma, our hearts often long for a life that’s hurt-proof.

We want to follow Jesus without being wounded again.

But here’s the truth:

Even our Savior was called the Man of Sorrows.

He understands.

The reality is that when you follow Jesus, you aren’t promised a pain-free life.

Doing hard things and breaking away from the patterns of the world is part of the Christian walk.

If your heart aches because you’ve had to let go of unfruitful relationships, know this:

Your hurt is not wasted.

And when you feel the sting of rejection and the grief from abandonment, turn to the Lord for comfort.

Resist the urge to please people so that you can get their comfort instead of God’s.

Human love can be shallow and fleeting, but God’s love is eternal and unchanging. Run into His arms.

He feels your pain, and He is not afraid to sit with you in it.

And here’s the hope:

He will give you exactly what you need to walk the road He’s called you to.

You don’t have to figure it all out.

You don’t have to carry it all on your own.

Just take His hand, and let Him lead you step by step.

You are not alone.

If this message resonated with you, I want you to know there are next steps you can take.

In my book, Kintsugi Heart, I share how God can turn broken pieces into a masterpiece of redemption. It’s for women who feel like too much time has been lost—but who are ready to see how He restores and rebuilds. You can find it here.

And if you feel God nudging you to go deeper, I invite you to apply for a Clarity Call with me. This is a one-on-one session where we’ll pray, talk through your goals, and map out how you can step into the freedom and purpose He’s calling you to. Apply here.

Hello! I’m Elle Angel. I’m an author, speaker, and podcaster, but at the core of it, I’m just a mom who cares deeply about what gets planted in people’s hearts, especially kids. I’ve spent years teaching in both formal and informal school settings, as well as serving in kids ministry. I honestly love the sweetness and honesty of kids, and yes, even the chaos that comes with it. There’s something about it. It’s loud and messy and full, but it’s real.

What gets me every time is when something clicks for a child. You can literally see it on their face. The moment they understand something new, the moment it makes sense, the moment they feel it. It’s like a light turns on.
And when that “click” is about who they are in God, or how much Jesus loves them… there’s nothing like it.
