Say this prayer when you feel emotionally drained, spiritually empty, or physically worn out. Let God’s strength rise up in you and remind your heart — He sustains you. He always has. He always will.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all you’ve done for me and continue to do.
I’m so grateful that I can come to you and you listen to me from on high.
Praise your great and holy name — the name that is above all names.
That at your name, Jesus, every knee will bow. (Philippians 2:10)
There is nothing bigger than you.
Not depression.
Not any of my fears.
Not any of my pain.
Not the enemy that seeks me out.
Not the pain from my past.
You, Abba, are lifted higher above any of those things, and for that I am so grateful.
Thank you for having all the answers and the strength I don’t have.
Even when I am overwhelmed and depleted, you, Father, sustain me.
You know what I am up against and how much I need you.
I come to you now asking for your help.
I am so tired that I don’t know how I can go on.
I feel maxed out on every front, and that scares me.
But I know you have great plans.
I know that I can boast in my weaknesses, because in them, you are made strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Be strong and mighty in me now, Father.
Lift me up out of the darkness I am in.
Hold me close and surround me with your light.
Bless me, Lord, with your miracles and mercies that are new each day. (Lamentations 3:22)
Protect me from the enemy.
Shelter me under your wings. (Psalm 91:4)
I cannot go on without you — and even if I could, I don’t want to, because I love you.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit.
Pour your healing oil over me.
Refresh my soul. (Psalm 23:3)
I know that you, Jesus, are the manna that rained down from heaven upon the Israelites.
And that even today, Lord, you are the bread of life.
“Man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
And you are the Word, Jesus. (John 1:1–18)
Thank you for sustaining me.
Thank you for lifting me up out of this state.
Thank you for filling me.
Thank you for taking care of me and my loved ones — today and every day.
Thank you for your generosity and big heart.
Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for saving me — today and every day.
Thank you for holding me and sheltering me from the harshness of being in this fallen world.
Thank you for being my hope and salvation.
Thank you, Father, for being you.
In Jesus’s mighty, unmatched name,
Amen.
